The “lean laboratory” design of this new 80.000 SF Lab facility will allow for greater interaction within the laboratories and more collegial sharing of advances, equipment and procedures.
The 10-story Biomedical Research Building (BRB) includes two floors of vivarium space; seven floors of research laboratories, including Human Genomics, Stem Cells, Cardiac Research, a GMP Facility, and three Research Imaging Suites; and a penthouse housing mechanical systems.
The Institute is one of the nation’s 78 NIH-designated General Clinical Research Centers (GCRC). It is among the top six percent of all NIH-funded institutions across the nation.
